Digital Archive Policy

To ensure the preservation, usability, and accessibility content for long term availability, there is a need for management policies and actions, called a Digital preservation policy.

Digital preservation can be seen as the set of processes and activities that ensure information which now exists in digital formats is backed up and distributed to guarantee continued access for the long term. The digital content of the journal is extremely valuable and measures are in place to ensure both its current accessibility and long-term preservation.

Principle of Digital Archiving

Intellectual Property: IJMSAR is committed to provide access to digital materials while respecting and upholding the intellectual property rights of authors and obtaining prior consent.

Access: Digital preservation activities are performed with the primary goal of long-term access to digital collections.

Authenticity: It ensures that data remain unaltered and the original data is preserved.

Website Archiving

All of our electronic content (website, manuscripts, etc.) is stored on three different sources. Content on one server is online and accessible to the readers. The copy of the same content is kept as a backup on two other sources. In case of failure of one server, any one of the other sources can be made online and website expected to be accessible within less than 24-36 hours.

Self-Archiving Rights

The Journal allows authors to self-archive their articles in an open access repository. The journal considers publishing material where a pre-print or working paper has been previously mounted online. The journal does not consider this an exception to our policy regarding the originality of the articles (not to be published elsewhere), since the open access repository doesn't have a publisher character, but an archiving system for the benefit of the Authors.

All authors hold full copyright and self-archiving rights.

Additionally, authors are allowed to archive their articles in open access repositories as “pre-prints”
