IJMSAR requires authors to declare all competing interests in relation to their research work. All submitted original research article, original research papers, case report, clinical report and short communication must include a "Conflicat of Interest" section at the end of the manuscript listing all competing interests such as financial and non-financial. Where authors have no competing interests, the statement should read “The authors have declared that no competing interests exist.” Editors may ask for further information relating to competing interests. Editors and reviewers are also required to declare any competing interests in research work and will be excluded from the peer review process if a competing interest exists.
Conflicat include the following:
1. Financial - Funding and other payments, goods and services received or expected by the authors relating to the subject of the work or from an organization with an interest in the outcome of the work
2. Affiliations - Being employed by, on the advisory board for, or a member of an organization with an interest in the outcome of the work
3. Intellectual property - Patents or trademarks owned by someone their organization
4. Personal - Friends, Family, Relationships, and other close personal connections
5. Ideology - Beliefs or activism, for example, political or religious, relevant to the work
6. Academic - Competitors or someone whose work is critiqued
